A postpartum doula is a non-medical assistant during the postpartum period. Depending on the needs of the family, postpartum doulas may assist during the day or night and services can last from a few days up to a few months after the baby is born. A postpartum doula works with each family individually to find out their specific needs and helps them have a smooth transition to life with a new baby. Some people use the term "Night Nanny" or "Night Nurse". These are not the same as Postpartum Doulas, but many people looking or a Night Nanny or Night Nurse end up hiring a Postpartum Doula for the additional care they provide. In person support available in Austin and the surrounding area. Travel fee may apply.
We have an incredible team of Empowered Doulas right here in Austin to choose from.
