Many parents wouldn't describe their children as "great sleepers." So if your children have sleep struggles, you're not alone! Not everyone feels the need to sleep train, and that's okay! There is no judgement or shame in however you decide to parent. If your child has sleep struggles and you could use support getting them into a better sleeping routine, we can help!
Sleep is not only important for you as a parent, it's important for your child! Oftentimes parents feel guilty or selfish for sleep training because they think they're just doing it for themselves. We're here to tell you - your child needs quality sleep to function well, just like you do! Sleep training isn't something you're doing TO your child, it's something you're doing FOR your child. Setting them up with healthy sleep habits and skills now can provide a lifetime of healthy sleep.
"But my child is three and he is already set in his ways. He's just a bad sleeper." Not so fast! There's hope! Together we can improve your child's sleep, and in turn your sleep, so your whole household is feeling more rested and happier. It's important for people of all ages to get good, uninterrupted sleep. This looks different as the child grows from newborn to toddler to adolescent, and we can work with you at any of these stages to help remedy their sleep struggles.
Ciarra Morgan is a Certified Sleep Consultant with the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. Sleep training was really overwhelming for her with both of her children. After becoming a birth doula and childbirth educator, she decided to jump into the world of sleep consulting. She would have benefited from help with this with her children and wanted to help other families have successful sleep with their children. She's seen so many new families that needed support in this area and helping them with this seemed like a natural addition to her services. This is especially needed for parents of young children that are adding a newborn to the picture and want to sleep train their older children before the new baby arrives.
