I'm Ciarra Morgan and I'm the owner of Empowered Beginnings. I am a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator specializing in HypnoBirthing, and a pediatric sleep consultant. I also have a podcast called Birth, Baby! as well as train and certify birth doulas through my Birth, Baby! Academy. I thrive on running my agency, taking care of families, and having a family of my own!
I am a wife and mother of two children: a fifteen-year-old daughter and an eight-year-old son. I have experienced both sides of birth. I had my daughter in a military hospital with an epidural and I had my son unmedicated in a birthing center with a midwife and doula. The level of preparedness was night and day which made all the difference. I took HypnoBirthing classes during my pregnancy with my son and credit the outcome of this birth to the Mongan Method. I was so empowered by the experience I had that I immediately began feeling lead to help other women achieve their perfect birth. My goal isn't to give you my birth experience, it is to prepare you for your unique birth, so you have the best chance of achieving your goals. I have experience supporting births at nearly all of the hospitals and birth centers in the Austin area. I have supported a wide range of situations including medicated and unmedicated birth, adoption, surrogacy, c-section, VBAC, elective induction, medically necessary induction, and many special circumstances (twins, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, IUGR, IVF, etc.).
Being your doula means I am connected with you from the moment we meet and you can contact me throughout your pregnancy. My intention is not to take over the role of your birth partner, but to support both of you. I provide physical, emotional and informational support to both you and your partner. I would be honored to serve you and your family for your pregnancy and birth.

Hello! I'm Kim and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I am a wife and a mother to three living children and one angel baby. I understand the depths of love, loss and healing. I provide compassionate, personalized support to families of all backgrounds through their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. My heart is in walking alongside mothers, especially those who’ve experienced loss, creating a safe, nurturing space where we honor their journey and celebrate every step of their story together. I am also passionate about holding space as a BIPOC doula for those seeking representation in their journey. My mission is to ensure every family feels seen, valued, and supported, fostering a sense of community, love, resilience, and hope.

Hi, I’m Jes. I’m a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Pediatric Sleep Consultant, Newborn Care Educator, and mom to two teenage daughters. My love for birth began during my first pregnancy, when a documentary about birth completely changed how I understood the process, and the power of birthing people.
I’ve had two very different birth experiences, and both deeply shape the way I support families. In 2010, I gave birth to my oldest daughter in a birth center tub - an experience that was empowering and affirming in ways I still carry with me. In 2013, I gave birth to my youngest daughter at 32 weeks in a hospital. I experienced empowerment during that birth in ways I hadn’t anticipated, and I embraced it completely. She spent three weeks in the NICU and leaving her there each night remains one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Experiencing both ends of the birth spectrum has given me deep compassion for all birth paths and a strong respect for how unpredictable and personal birth can be.
As a birth doula, my approach is simple: I meet you where you are and support you in getting where you want to be. I provide evidence-based education, help you navigate your options, offer hands-on comfort measures, advocate when needed, and hold space for your decisions - without judgment and without agenda.
It is an incredible honor to be invited into such an intimate, life-changing moment. I show up with compassion, experience, and a steady presence, grounded in the belief that there is no single “right” way to give birth - only what feels right for you. My role is to support you in feeling informed, heard, respected, and empowered as you welcome your baby and step into parenthood.

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m a wife, mom to two wild and wonderful boys, and a passionate birth enthusiast. My journey into doula work began after my second birth, where I experienced the incredible support of a doula and saw how transformative it could be. That moment inspired me to train through Birth, Baby! Academy and dedicate myself to helping moms feel empowered and supported as they bring their babies into the world.
Community and connection are at the heart of everything I do. My love language is words of affirmation, and I cherish the bonds I create with my clients. Whether I’m hosting loved ones at my house, sharing stories, or supporting families during one of the most important moments of their lives, I’m all about building meaningful relationships. I feel so honored to play a role in my clients’ unique journeys, helping them achieve the best birth experience possible.

My name is Morgan, and I am a birth doula, yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, and mama to a spirited young daughter (with more on the way!). My journey into birth work is deeply personal, rooted in the transformative experience of my own pregnancy and birth. I never realized how much I would truly benefit from the support of a doula until I was in the thick of it. Facing an unexpected induction, I could have easily spiraled into fear, but with my doula’s support, I stayed calm, asked questions, and made empowered decisions. That experience showed me the true value of having someone by your side who listens, offers clarity, and supports you when you need it most.
Before becoming a doula, I earned a degree in psychology and worked in a children’s hospital, which deepened my understanding of how the body and mind work together in times of stress and joy. I now bring this insight, along with my training in Reiki and yoga, to every family I support, offering emotional and physical comfort in ways that honor each person’s unique journey.
As a doula, my goal is to empower you to make confident choices about your birth. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, or birth center experience, I’m here to provide steady support and a grounded presence, helping you feel seen, heard, and confident in your decisions.
When I’m not supporting families, you can find me dancing in my weekly ballet class, knitting, doing arts and crafts with my daughter, getting lost in a romance novel, or discovering new places to eat with my family.
I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey to parenthood, offering emotional, physical, and informational support every step of the way.

Howdy! My name is Emili, and I am a birth and postpartum doula. I have always been passionate about women's health, but it wasn’t until I had the honor of helping with my best friend's pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey that I knew birth was the place for me. I have also been supporting families as a nanny for a few years.
I love helping families adjust to their new babies. Seeing parents become more confident in their skills is one of my favorite things. I lean a little crunchy so I like to offer natural alternatives to things first, but I also think every family is different. Any informed decision you make for your family is the right decision. With a background in mental health, I think nothing is more important than protecting the mental health of new parents. I strongly value the sacred space around the birth and postpartum period and I would be so honored to be a part of your journey.

My name is Elizabeth Patton, a certified birth doula and professionally trained NICU doula. I believe that birth takes grit and grace: grit to embrace the challenge of birth and grace for yourself and your baby as you navigate the journey of labor.
When I was pregnant with my first son, I planned for an unmedicated birth at a birth center. I listened to every podcast, read every book, hired a doula, and prepared my body in every way possible. Unfortunately, my water broke at 34 weeks, and my son was born six weeks early. I had an emergency C-section, and my son spent 12 days in the NICU. It’s beyond my understanding to know why or how it happened to me, the person who did everything “right.” But what I do know is that every ounce of preparation for my natural birth also prepared my body to recover from surgery and to walk the long hallways of the NICU.
Every birth asks something of us—maybe it’s giving up control or seeking peace in chaos. It could be honoring your body and learning to love yourself. Each birth is a journey, an offering. We can’t always predict the outcomes, but we can choose to be fully engaged in our experience. I would be honored if you invited me to walk alongside you on your journey of motherhood.

Hi! I'm Alexis, a birth doula serving families in Austin, Texas with Empowered Beginnings. I hold a deep reverence for birth as both a physiological and transformative experience, and I support families in feeling informed, grounded, and empowered throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
I bring a calm, intuitive presence to every birth space. I believe that when parents feel safe, seen, and respected, their bodies and babies respond beautifully. My approach blends evidence-based education with nurturing emotional support, helping families navigate decisions with confidence and clarity.
As an adoptive mama, I carry a profound understanding that motherhood is born in many ways. My journey into parenthood deepened my sensitivity to the emotional layers of family-building: the longing, the trust, the surrender, and the fierce love that defines it. This perspective allows me to hold space not only for the physical experience of birth, but for the sacred identity shift that happens when someone becomes a parent.
I honor each family’s unique values, culture, and vision for their birth, offering steady advocacy and compassionate guidance every step of the way. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, birth center delivery, or home birth, I am committed to holding space for you to step into your power and welcome your baby with strength and trust.

Hi, I’m Grace! I’m a full-spectrum doula, which means I support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. But more than that, I’m the person who walks in and helps everything feel a little less overwhelming.
There’s so much information, so many opinions, and somehow, you’re expected to just know what to do. You don’t have to do that alone.
My work is rooted in helping you feel informed, grounded, and genuinely supported as you prepare for and move through birth. Whether you’re feeling excited, anxious, unsure, or all of the above, I meet you where you are and help you find your footing.
During pregnancy, we take the time to talk through your options, your preferences, and what matters most to you so you can make decisions that feel right in your body and your life, not based on pressure or expectation.
When it comes to birth, I support you through whatever path your experience takes: medicated or unmedicated, planned or unexpected. I provide steady, calm presence, hands-on and emotional support, and clear, grounded guidance so you don’t feel alone in the process.
Before becoming a doula, I spent over eight years working as a nanny, including extensive experience with infants, young children, and neurodivergent families. That background deeply shapes how I support clients. I’m attentive to sensory needs, flexible in communication, and intentional about creating care that feels respectful and individualized. I’m especially mindful to support neurodivergent parents, siblings, and family systems so your home feels understood and supported as it is.
I’m also a mom to a young daughter, and my own experience of pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood gives me a deep respect for how transformative and vulnerable this time can be. Families often describe me as calm, grounded, and quietly proactive. I notice what needs tending to and step in with intention, always with the goal of empowering you, not creating dependence. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to not do it alone.
