I am a Postpartum Doula and the mother of two daughters. I have always loved children, especially babies! Birth and Postpartum have been a passion of mine since the moment I felt the empowering energy that giving birth and motherhood brings. I love helping families come into their own and find their way through the early sacred days of parenthood. I feel passionate about bringing awareness to postpartum mood disorders and helping new moms and their loved ones navigate those rough waters. I would love to help you in building your support system for motherhood.
My name is Nikki and I am a Postpartum Doula. I am a self-professed foodie, adventure seeker, avid (and very amateur) lover of Pilates, and perpetual dreamer. I am a devoted wife and a mother to three children— ages five, three, and two. While motherhood has proven to be the most magnificent journey so far, it has also taught me that mothers (and their entire family) need more support in the days, weeks, and months after bringing life into this world. I believe that mothers need to be nurtured, encouraged, and empowered during the postpartum period. Every mother deserves the opportunity to see the amazing things she is capable of and I believe that comes with some loving support. I have a special interest in bringing awareness to postpartum mood disorders, various breastfeeding issues, and postpartum nutrition (I was a chef before I had children!). It would be my honor to serve families during their postpartum journey.
I’m a postpartum doula. I am also a wife and mother of a 4 year old boy. I’ve worn many hats in life. Most of my career I worked in special education as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist serving children with visual impairments from birth to 22 years old. I’ve been a substitute teacher, Sunday school teacher, and worked in Braille transcription. My own experience postpartum left me passionate about being present for parents, however they choose to be parents. Formula, breastfeeding, purees, cribs, co-sleeping I am here to hear your journey, give you information about your choices, and applaud your decisions. My own struggles with breastfeeding taught me that parenting decisions are complicated. They are emotional. They can require decisions that are unexpected. As a postpartum doula I strive to be the ear that hears, your helping hands, your cheerleader, the shoulder to catch the tears, or the mirror to help you discover yourself. I truly believe owning what you think and want can transform the postpartum period into a restful and rejuvenating experience. I am excited to be doing something I love. I am even more excited that you would consider me to be part of the most intense and incredible days of your life. You and your family are worth it.
My name is Deidre and I am a postpartum doula! I am the mom to three energetic and beautiful children and enjoy life happily with my husband. Our family has a small urban farm where we raise chickens and rabbits and enjoy 4 full garden beds of herbs and heirloom varieties. I currently homeschool my sweet children and wouldn't have it any other way! Becoming parents is such a beautiful journey and it takes a village to navigate the growth. I am here to help make that growth a little bit easier and perhaps a little less lonely along the way. I cannot wait to meet you and grow with you!
*Deidra has completed enough of the program to be ready to serve families. She is being mentored directly by the owner of Austin Baby Guru and we have full confidence she is ready to support growing families as a postpartum doula.
My name is Sonet and I have been serving as a postpartum doula for 2 years now. I am a proud Mother of 2 and Grandmother of 5 and enjoy living in the country with my family. My experience in the birth and postpartum world started many years ago when I was a practicing midwife in rural South Africa and has continued through assisting in OB/GYN practice, working as a birth assistant in a birth center setting, and now as a postpartum doula to uplift to families. I enjoy helping families through the transition of welcoming a new baby into their household because I know how important this season is. This sort of care was something I lacked when I had my second child, so I am glad to be able to provide compassionate care for those who need it.
Hello, my name is Tatiana! I first started babysitting at the age of 12 and over the years I have found it is what I'm meant to do as a career. I have worked in this field full-time since 2013. My experience is diverse as I have lived in with families, traveled with them, and even been a household manager. I have experience and am comfortable working with children ranging from newborns to teenagers and have cared for preemies, children with special needs, and multiples. Working with children is my passion; it's not just a job. I look forward to meeting you and hope I can serve your family through this transformative period.
